About

At Lei by Dillyn, we aim to bring people together and encourage the perpetuation of lei making. Our workshops are designed to introduce participants to the rich cultural heritage of lei making, all while fostering a sense of community and connection.  

ʻAʻohe pau ka ʻike i ka hālau hoʻokahi- All knowledge is not learned in the same school.  We acknowledge this ʻōlelo noʻeau as it pertains to lei making.  We cannot teach everything there is to know about lei making through these workshops.  However, we hope to provide a starting point for our community to forge their own lei making journey.  

Our “Why”

The purpose of these workshops goes beyond teaching the technical aspects of lei making. We aim to instill a love for this practice in our community members and provide them with the skills and inspiration to continue creating lei long after the workshop ends. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to the continual perpetuation of lei making, ensuring this beautiful practice continues on for generations to come.
